This year, the Training and Mentorship Program proposes an interactive and simplified pedagogical model compared to the first two editions.
The general theme of this year’s program is Culture as a Public Service.
“We have to educate both culture professionals and the public, in order to have a cultural system with an effect on society as well”, said Jean Vilar, arguing the foundation of the Avignon Festival.
This desideratum is an essential guideline in dealing with the creative and intellectual dynamics of today’s world. The transformation, in depth, of social and economic, global and national realities, from recent decades, requires a redefinition and a reaffirmation of the organic, connective role of culture as a spiritual binder of European societies.
The main theme of the program will be introduced by a theoretical module and will be declined in several satellite modules, under different formats: course, workshop, webinar, meeting, discussion.
In addition to the program, there will be the possibility of mentoring sessions correlated with the possibility of conducting professional internships, hosted by the Cluj Cultural Center.
The entire training & mentoring course proposes an interactive, inter-generational and interdisciplinary methodological approach and responds to the need to recalibrate key notions related to the role of culture for society.
What we propose
the development, for participants, of the ability to put into perspective the public service function of local and national cultural activities
encouraging critical thinking and the development of argumentative skills on topics specific to the cultural system
the development of interactive, innovative and idea aggregator professional dialogue capacities
understanding and integrating the current challenges of European cultural policies from a global and post-pandemic perspective
