In classical management theory, there are traditionally two generic types of approach: power management and trust management. The current era forces us to introduce a less theorized notion of management, that of uncertainty management.

Managing a cultural and creative project in 2020 involves identifying possible developments, building intense personal motivations, triggering resilience mechanisms, understanding that the volatility of the context forces a sophisticated game between temporary and constant legal and administrative systems.

Also, the current context involves the encouragement of what is called lateral thinking (out of the box), the invention of new work models, forms of connectivity that include real and virtual social networks, with all their impact.

A profound mutation takes place at all levels of collective interactions and this mutation reconfigures the meaning of what we do, but also of ‘how’ and ‘why’ we do it, in the ‘transglobal’ cultural system that is being configured.

Corina Șuteu, course director

What we propose

the transmission of direct experience – as a basis for awareness of the need to define and assume the professional choices we make; as a way of assuming the context and the process in professionalization

the discussion of values and contents – as a necessary and determining philosophy of the direction and meaning of the projects we coordinate

accompaniment, mentoring – as a critical way of connecting with already confirmed paradigms of professional operation, but also as an individualized way of supporting and clarifying still unexplored directions of thought
